a year has past, but still

that is it.
we are done. Survived a year of IP. so i am going to do a good reflection of this whole year...
But first, a sincere thank you to everybody who has been in my life..05ip04ers, the mulanese, honorary members of mulanese club, all my boyfriends, council peeps, maldivians, council seniors, all girl perc group (da ji rocks), the teachers and to everybody whom i have obviously forgotten, thank you. And to my parents who have put up with me...and my stuff.

Jan
I guess to make it short, it was a transitional period, between secondary school and njip. Remembered feeling stress and stupid, serious. And being looked down. People from neighbourhood school not stupid ok? But then there is orientation, the dancing, cheering, kissing...but wait the dancing on the podium, the taking off shirts. And the discovery that there are boys that are not actually assholes on earth.

Feb
wait i remembered feeling overwhelmingly busy. And i started failing, almost everything, i have never been used to failing, wait, cause i have never failed anything, well, except chinese. And my first valentines day..with actually presents and seeing pairs walking around with flowers. Went for council interview. I am pretty awed that my council journey started so early.

March
Maldives month. Haa what can i say, it leaves such deep impression on me. i could do it all over again if i had the chance. the people i met, the bonds i formed, the spirte, the sacks and the sand. Then it was second orientation month, really hectic. everything from then on, was down hill. Got a zen

April
MY grandma died. Missed dance party for the funeral. I guess the family is not that close now. MY mum said that this year would be a bad year, she had some feeling. If we only knew...Funny i actually remember i was studying for log test under the dim lights of the funeral. There was IP preview, where we got to wear the shirt, quite pissed cause i had to wear grey and red tie. and not wassup ip? shirt. Then it was council speech day. HEHE. i don't ever want to speak about it, never ever. Missed the maldives bbq for it. Should just go man, a speech like that is quite brainless. ZH co won gold. woooooo hoooooo. Our hard work had paid off. Then there was elects camp. I like the part where they tested us. Find the strength within. the stressed they put on us, discovered that some council seniors are whooping asses. there i said it. The sleeping problems start coming into effect.

May
I started feeling cynical, started eating dinner in the car. INVEST!!! The council started coming. think busy busy. CO syf. i think. gold man. Fried ice cream!!!!

June
Co camp! Rehearsing like crazy for concert. Council again. China!!! DVD overload.

July
Frustrated with council. Concert practice moves to overdrive.. Enrichment week arrives. Harry potter. Starting to miss my mom and dad like crazy. First pubstunt. Co concert. I never play wrongly...

August
Natl day. Realised if you can't mc, get someone who can. SERIOUS. Got real sick, no voice. whoa suddenly so quiet. Teacher's day. Char faints.

And now,
i can't believe it, we are done.
It is not about the grades or things. I have never been so stressed, but i am so pleased with myself for being able to handle stuff in general. I grew stronger, made a hunk a lota friends. Worked harder, ass off lynn, ass off. i just amazed that i actually became more caring and concerned.
A year of change

why am i writing in such a happy tone? when i am supposed to be very pissed. Hmmm, why some thing happened today that bought me over. it involves 1 bet, 2 guys, foosball, naked guys, pumping and a polaroid. I can't say who, but i am cheap lah, doesn't take a lot to make me happy.

but i still can't believe we are done.
really.
the sisterhood of the grey skirts
and honorary grey pants guyhood....

love forever, i am getting really old. next year i am sixteen and legal.

tired..wiped out.
i haven't had any time to rest or relax. R and R my foot.

THinking very seriously about taking french....almost most of my profession choices require the knowledge of french

Watch the special on oprah on Hurricane Katrina...really scary, i mean everything is gone and then there is a slow rebuilding of those people lives. Makes me think that there is someplace more important to be.

At a very frustrating point of my life. I don't care about assessment already lah. Work so hard the marks still so bad.

so i guess to say...life is just life, but it is up to us to colour it and fill it with joy.

after reading the bible, i realised that i have a lot to change.
"Fools have no desire to learn; they would much rather give their own opinion" (Proverbs 18:2 )

"If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject criticism, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding. Fear of the LORD teaches a person to be wise; humility precedes honor" (Proverbs 15:31-33)

too tired to type anything, just today that today was fun..cept for the exam part. H.A.L.O or year end whatever you want to call it was a success, special thanks and appreciation for the comm. people and all the councillors. Really proud of the money they have earned ( more for gn)and effort that they put in. Of course i didn't really do anything, cause of assessment week. Kj just sent me a cheesy message. But real tired....

sometimes you keep taking and accepting, but remember to give back and sacrifice...

thks to all the people with their lucks and encouraging messages and voices and handshakes. And to my special friend, thk you for keeping me sane, for giving me hope when it was bleak and unfair and for giving me advice through these tough times, you are my pilar of strength and hope, my shining light and guidance. THE LORD IS GREAT!

this must be the worse condition i have been before taking an exams. and to think last year around this time i was actually mucking around, slacking....cause i knew i got into ip.

I am sick
it started with open day. I have an infection of the throat. But thks to A LOT of liang teh it went away. So here comes today and i am down with flu. I think i am going to get a fever tomorrow, i have a headache and keep feeling sleepy. And i have really bad cramps. for no reason, i took a grape from the fridge and pop it into my mouth, what do i get? cramps....i had dessert last night...cramps. so sickening. And alll our exams venues are air conditioned, like i got a lot of time to blow my nose and write at the same time.
And i keep sneezing...
but i am actually surpisingly up to schedule. revising econs now.
having tuition later, again in the period of like 3 days. real sick, exams.

overwhelmed, overacheiver, over my head?
Really to all ips, pls fail something to put the average down, seriously i hope we all fail.

i am feeling awfully stressed.
i don't care who i offend , i am just going to vent it all out, even though it might be a period of childish thinking, I DON'T CARE.

THis is so sweet for the week leading up to assessment week - i have actually 3 council duties i have to partake. ONe i have to plan the pubstunt...i have to attend a grad night meeting, to which mr tan said: " i don't see no reason for you to not attend, other than andre" or smthg to that context. And of course there is open day, which is ok, cause i actually planned it into my schedule. So u see. i think just have a jolly good time mugging or the lack thereof, to think that i actually have- had glorious plans for studying. Mr tan actually promised us that we will be free the week before the assessment week, i mean i understand if there is a lot of things, cause we have been stagnant for a month now. So i guess i understand, i understand and i am writing for a lost cause. But the circumstances--- the consequences i have to bear.

So tomorrow i am going to my fortress of solitude, the back of the class, for some serious studying, sorry if i am short tempered, or just short. Pls don't interupt me....let me go about for once. And look at the time of this entry, i will probably sleep during chinese again, ahh the horror..

an extremely cynical and short
